In order to maintain the highest possible standards, Ged Kennerk has travelled to Australia to train directly under his teacher, David Peterson, at the Melbourne Chinese Martial Arts Club (MCMAC), as well as inviting Peterson to teach both he and his students in the United Kingdom on a number of occasions since 2003.

Mark Jackson

Mark Jackson began his Ving Tsun training in 1976 in Manchester. Since then, he has trained with some of the most prominent Ving Tsun teachers in the United Kingdom and from around the world. Mark’s Ving Tsun background, training and dedication made him an ideal choice of instructor for the Manchester Ving Tsun Academy.

During his early years of training there were very few people who actually knew the entire Ving Tsun system. Most practitioners were only taught the first form and Chi Sau, as this was the only level of Ving Tsun available.

As Ving Tsun rapidly gained in popularity, Mark learnt several Ving Tsun lineages, but it wasn’t until he had been introduced to the Wong Shun Leung Ving Tsun System that Mark found what he had been missing.

WSLVT is based on scientific principles, and it is these that bring the system to life in so many combat situations. Mark Jackson is now promoting this system at the Manchester Ving Tsun Martial Arts Academy.
